(Photo by Waedao Harai)NARATHIWAT: A villager was shot to death in a gun attack while tapping latex in a rubber plantation in Yingo district early on Sunday, police said. The man, identified as Ama Ada, 69, of Village Group 5 in tambon Yingo, was found lying dead in the rubber plantation about 300 metres behind his house. A police investigation revealed that Ada was tapping rubber when he was attacked by a gunman hiding in the plantation. Police were trying to establish whether the attack was motivated by a personal conflict or related to terrorism in the region.
